Animal Protection Program

To protect animals in danger of extinction in Guatemala by providing a sanctuary for animals confiscated by Guatemala government from people who unscrupulously rob animals from their environment. They keep them locked up and tied in small cages just because they look good in their homes. If the animal can survive in the mountains, they are let go. If the animal is unable to feed or care for himself he is kept on the preserve and are cared for.

Food Rescue

This activity includes obtaining excess Food from Food Brokers. We will develop relations with food Brokers and obtain their excess food that though it is nutritionally good it can not be marketed because of lack of demand. As it is costly to them to have to haul it to the landfill and pay dumping fees they will gladly ask us to pick it up from them.

Food Distribution

The Food that we rescue is distributed in two ways

  1. Agency Distribution
    • This is where we identify quality agencies who we supply with free food for distribution to needy wild animals.
  2. Volunteer distribution
    • This is where we identify volunteers who we supply with free food for distribution to needy wild animals.
  3. The activities are conducted by the trusties and other volunteers
  4. The activities are done on a daily basis.
  5. The activities provide relief and aid to reduce animal suffering as a result of hunger through feeding and food distribution activities for needy wild animals.
  6. The activity are funded by freewill donations from the public.
When you support Wild Animal Sanctuary Fund, you’re joining a movement of countless others with a shared belief that no should go hungry.
